I've loved Connie and their work ever since I was 16-17. This is no exception, and "Vellhouse" is very much a precursor to "Neo Neos" yet it still seems to pace and explode with the flavor that many of Connie's works always have. It's great to see what they did even before they finally went solo and Im glad this album is still for sale, although "Vellhouse" has been defunct for awhile. I know I'd always be down for another album by this group, if they ever decide to come back together.

Driving down a dark road to nowhere in particular, with only the sounds of the road and tires crunching gravel underneath to keep you company.

This album, start fo finish, is nothing to glance over, with a variety of different feels and tones in between each song. While it doesn't homogenize completely, the variety of differences makes up for the lack of an overall sense of direction. Not for everyone, but that's what can make good albums, particularly great.

Assassinations of officials, government corruptions and scandals, plus everything in between all have something in common, an opposition by the people who see through the misconstrued lines of lies and nepotism.

The lyrical syntax is both metaphorical yet concise in this album of fast-paced punk by Straw Man Army. And unlike many other activist-type bands, the music is still very entertaining to listen to even if you dont like the context. Definitely try the album out and find out if it's for u

    Dead Weight Dead Weight
Ill skip most of my usual theatrics with this one, since I love Jack Stauber on so many levels for all of the music he's made, and how it helped me cope with the trauma of depression, loneliness, and loss of people dear to me. If you have the same type of love, then I would say get this album 100%; as it, and "Finite Form" have the most emotionally charged songs and compositions throughout his whole musical debut. If there was some weird, arbitrary number for ratings, I would give it the max.
