Sing the Song as if You Are a Stranger in a World Where Nobody Believes You Exist
by The Last Cold Fire of Dusk
Well this kinda mugged me today. I left it on in the background just to fill the silence.
8 minutes later I suddenly realised I HAD to buy an album today.
Having only heard "Hardcovers Vol 1" before I was expecting something more shoegaze- like.
Fortunately I also love Doom and this was equally fantastic in a different (but somehow cohesive) way.
When "Found" ended I realised I had been utterly submerged & staring out of focus and fully absorbed for the last half of the song. All multitasking had given way to reverence and that's about as high an accolade as I can give anyone,
this is how fat music production should be on guitar bands. all producers should take note, this wall of sound with everything in its frequency space, every instrument audible, vocals IN the mix instead of obliterating most of it. THIS is how music should sound!
