  16. People We Become
    by Jo Harman
Wow. 2017. I've been missing out. I found Jo through collaboration with Redtenbacher's Funkestra but she's got such a catalogue - I'll be exploring further.

Stylistically, it's not where I'd generally find myself - mid tempo bluesy, Nashville-edged rock. Smooth.

But it's gorgeous. Comparisons are pointless. Listen and be entranced.

Unchanged And Alone / The Reformation (i.e. in the "right order") are a great pair but it's very hard to pick a favourite....

Found through Ropeadope. It's beyond what I can compare - a first foray into this area. Damn good music.
  18. Out West

Stunning playing on every track with wonderfully inspired composition. Each part warrants concentrated listening yet the music demands being heard as a whole. One of the rare works where I felt I should immediately listen again - there's so much here to take in!
  19. Take No Prisoners
    by A/B Trio
Tranquilty (For Dad) (feat. Chris Andrew) Tranquilty (For Dad) (feat. Chris Andrew)
How can arrangements as free as this feel so perfectly aligned? There's a feeling of total communion between the players - everything is *together*. Grooving jazz through and through.
  20. Funked

Tell You Later Tell You Later
The latest by the Big Fun 3, this bringing more of the same dynamic - well worth the listen.
