"Splendor & Misery" combines elements of both of clipping.'s previous full length efforts, while still bringing something new to the table. The most immediate and catchy songs, "Air 'Em Out" and "A Better Place," have shades of CLPPNG, while other tracks are essentially Diggs rapping over white noise. The soul vocals are a very welcomed addition. While not as immediately accessible as CLPPNG, it's arguably just as rewarding after several listens.
