    by Napier's Bones
All Tyrants Have To Fall All Tyrants Have To Fall
Lovely to have another Napier's Album. Like an old friend returning to remind you to tune into the 'intangible essence' of not being distracted by the game. Im still absorbing this album, it flows me away and brings me back for the last two important tracks. All the Napiers trimmings are here in a spatial & smoothly mastered release! Dont be a 'cell mate' !!
  7. The Fields
    by Napier's Bones
    Aftermath Aftermath
Gripping album from The Napier's duo & 'Back in the Fields' we are in more ways than one, with this 'Ouroborus Curse' on humanity! Wonderful soaring synthwork, combined with powerful storytelling & vengeful 'dug in' guitar solos. The Terror marches on, the parasitic class should indeed quiver, as the fallen ancestors wrath is deep & just! Back to Fields the downcast go, this masquerade! Bread, circuses & battle forged Prog !
  8. Guests
    by Gordon Midgley
    Signs Signs
Great little heads up from Gordon here! The maestro is back, broody & warming up the stable! He means business; with 'Signs', he more than announces his defiance!
  9. Long, Long Skies
    by Gordon Midgley
Long, Long Skies Long, Long Skies
Continuing on from Guests; it's all here! Gord travels through eclectic scenes, memories & sonic states of being. Reflective pools, sneaky funk, some classical guitar, a dabble of mandolin. Some synth? growly, confused or swirly! Descerning & questioning embroidered with weaving guitar & Gordon's signature haunting solos. Stalking uphill, shooting the breeze, lean on a gate & take a break; savour the scenery!
  10. Five Years In The Wood
    by Napier's Bones
Best of Times ? Best of Times ?
With the addition of Live drums and impressively honed mastering skills, Napiers boldly plant this five year milestone! Reflecting back warmly, like old friends returning, '5' draws a 'superbly remastered' watershed track from each year of the back catalogue. A prog connoiseur's 'sip and savour' album in its own right and an iron gauntlet towards marching on!
  11. falling is an art
    by Joan Silentio
falling is an art falling is an art
Deep discerning Urban-Surf ! Haunting poetic lyrics of ‘summertime sadness’ weave amidst strum & picked trem' guitar. Urban in feel, from the lonely railway station platform, to the dark starry sky reflecting off cold glass clad skyscrapers. Falling with 'Art' to a screaming strat' lead, landing on a soft blanket of thereminesque ‘Gord’ synth, to being wrapped in loving 'words of the heart' from Joan's wondrous vocals! Flickering smiles of neon warmth keeps us all a-glow!
  12. SUBJECTS
by Gordon Midgley & Joan Silentio
    Fountain Fountain
Edgy neo noir, yet most uplifting atmospheric album from Joan & Gordon. Conjuring their inner 'Ghost Dogs' on this 'Eraser Head' meets 'The Machinist' urban (for me) drift. Beautiful vocals weaving the koans of language with doom drone, static & theremin 'patch'work of synth, with wonderful fx'd guitar, smokin' solos and hypnotic groove bass! Hats off to the geet' solo in 'Sometimes' and the beautiful vocals in 'Fountain'!
  13. Monuments
    by Napier's Bones
    The Heights The Heights
Boldly arriving with stallion mounted confidence, through stubborn defiance, to gut wrenching torment and tender moments of regret, defeat and reflection. Very impressive lead guitar work & wah use, as with all the fx and synth work. Ever impressive vocalised story telling from Nathan & Gordon on synergistic harmony. No track disappoints! From 'Childe' on-wards, is a soul birthing, twisting journey of Napiers goodies, cosmic wormholes & Bonesmen's tracklements. To the Heights!
  14. Lifetimes Ago
    by Gordon Midgley
in tenebris lucem in tenebris lucem
I once read on the back of a Talvin Singh album, that his home culture considers a Master as one whom has demonstrated readiness to now learn! The Gord 'Meisters' etudes on this album empathetically feel the artists pallet take over and embrace proceedings, whilst allowing the constructs of consciousness to retune & remorph. The Master's craft! My favorite track/moment so far, is the transition from the light of darkness to lasting impression!
  15. The Fall of the House of Usher
    by Gordon Midgley
    Announcement Announcement
Another Cracking Album from The GordMeister; This great story of tribulation against imaginings, constructs and perceived reality . All woven up into another great musical journey ...Gordon's sonic delights never cease to please and the story is just unfolding!
  16. The Darkness of Error
    by Gordon Midgley
It Only Happens To Other People It Only Happens To Other People
Great EP from the GordMeister! Sonic venture from Uber dark Skull crushing caterpillar-tracked machines to the lightness in singing pods of Humpback whales, swirling and dancing to GM's acoustic delights. Give heed to the warnings within, yet embrace the hope of despair!
  17. Alpha-Omega Man

    HypnoSapiens HypnoSapiens
My Favorite track changes...so that's my favorite track name! This is a great album, Naths Vox with Gords Lead style and Synths have got me gripped. Poor OlGord's Bass always gets left out :-( ...he does good Bass too! :-) Napiers has resurected my interested in Prog ...this is the 15 yrO Single Malt of Prog mind ;-)
