The words of W H Auden and the soulful voice and piano of Mr R are a compelling, haunting combination!
The original collection of tunes and the ambient counterparts get underneath the skin , although the versions with rhythm machines are less successful. All in all though, a wonderful musical journey that's well worth taking!
