An album of sombre, heartbreaking lyrics with tasteful vocal filters over Jonny/JDH's usual excellent beats. The peacefulness and triumphalist "We're gonna make it!" joy of his previous work makes way for more chastened themes of abandonment and hurt. Here Jonny's most memorable chorus asks "Have you ever seen devastation?" The musical and thematic maturity fits well. This might be his best.
