Tabula Rasa Suite: II Tabula Rasa Suite: II
Virtuoso Neil Campbell alone playing classical acoustic guitar.
The suite consists of beautifully composed and performed pieces set against the backdrop of sounds associated with Sefton Park, Liverpool, a tranquil place I know and love. Campbell’s playing is immaculate throughout. The work is contemplative, reflective, suitably restrained and beautifully played to create a wonderfully autumnal, pastoral feel.
  14. Particle Theory [Original Master]
    by The Neil Campbell Collective
    The Line The Line
This is a brilliantly conceived and executed piece of music. There are some storming rock instrumentals here, fusion, ambitious and brilliantly executed pieces, electronica and wonderful piano and acoustic work. The album characterises the essence of progressive music perfectly - imaginative, daring, subtle.
This is an album of music of the highest quality. It's beyond genre. You are simply listening to music of imagination, inspiration, meaning, excitement, elegance and beauty.
  15. Ghost Stories
by Neil Campbell with Michael Beiert & Anne Taft
Ghost Story Suite: 8) Sketch 4 Ghost Story Suite: 8) Sketch 4
A hauntingly beautiful album of instrumental music by guitar virtuoso and composer Neil Campbell. This album has a dark, brooding feel to it. The guitar and wordless vocals draw you in with great textures of light and shade. It is a beautiful piece of music, superbly crafted and meticulously played, very subtle, but with an effortlessly flowing style. Running throughout, like a slowly unwinding thread, is Campbell’s intricate acoustic guitar. He is one of the finest guitarists in the country.
  16. Night Sketches
    by Neil Campbell
Night Sketch 4 Night Sketch 4
A mellow and highly original classical style album from a guitar virtuoso. Simple instrumentation ... guitar only. And that’s enough. Only a master musician could sustain interest for close on an hour. Campbell does, using his exceptional and original classical style guitar to conjure up so many pictures, ideas, emotions, and places as soundscapes. Contemplative and beautiful. There is a lucidity and a majesty to Neil’s playing, and this shines through on this record.

Closing: Theme from Kabaret Europa Closing: Theme from Kabaret Europa
Campbell has here created tuneful, delicate, melodious little pieces redolent with atmosphere and nostalgia to convey a mood that captures the essence of the play. The result holds the listener in a trance for its entirety. The music ranges from the depths of despair, loneliness and regret to the reflective, hopeful, and tranquil. This is music to bring happiness to the most world-weary of souls. The music is contemplative: melancholic and haunting but also light and romantic.
  19. eMErgence
    by Neil Campbell
Private Collection 1 Private Collection 1
eMErgence is an innovative, original, and ambitious work of instrumental music. This is impossible to pigeon-hole – jazz fusion, art rock, classical, ambient, electronica and minimalism. With the ideas comes the trademark musicianship holding the whole piece together. Combining high production and performance values, eMErgence showcases Campbell’s musical imagination and compositional talents. Quality.
  20. Through the Looking Glass (Remixed, Remastered and Expanded)

Dreams Combine Like Shadows Dreams Combine Like Shadows
Evocative, sophisticated and beautifully crafted music – Campbell plays classical guitar with his consummate musicianship. These pieces are a testament to Neil’s originality and intelligence as well as his technical brilliance. The result is an understated masterpiece that draws the listener in and holds the attention from first to last. The album showcases Neil’s impeccable classical guitar skills wonderfully well. Acoustic bliss. Wonderful compositions beautifully played.
