As soon as "Stay" dropped I was in love with this album. One of the best albums I've ever listened to, my personal favorite trance/progressive album. Every track on Deep State pulls you in with their lush atmospheres, and several drop beautiful guest vocals over intoxicating layers of the finest trance instrumentation. Grum struck gold with this friggin sound.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to experience the bone-crushing pressure as you descend into the Mariana Trench? Just pop this bad boy on, enjoy the tasteful samples, then jam out to to the surprising life found in this homage to the most extreme environment on earth. This is seriously one of my favorite albums of all time. Quintessential Doom right here. Cannot wait to hear more from these guys!
Every track feels like a universe of sound that reveals itself through its constantly changing form.... this is psychedelic rock at its finest. Give The River a minute (or less) and you'll be hooked. I don't know that there's even a good comp, KG&TLW have a uniquely delicious style.
Do you enjoy Kasabian but wish for a little more psyhcedlic umph? Rejoice! You've found it. These guys live up to their name, delivering gorgeous riffs and spacey interludes, just a great record all around. Every time I listen to HVP1 a different track shines though. Was brought here by Jesus and his miraculous tomato transformation!
Just like their namesake, GYOZA is the best thing you didn't realize you were missing from your musical meal. The album is honest to goodness rock at its core, but it blends so many elements - atmospheres reminsicient of Tool, riffage that harkens back to early QotSA, oddly catchy anthems a la The Sheepdogs.... And the damn thing feels so cohesive! Seriously, if you like rock/alternative, you've gotta give these guys a listen.
It is honestly impossible to pick one real favorite from AMMA. Every single track is just spot on with hypnotic riffs and peak fuzz. Puta Volcano's individual elements are excellent but most importantly they mesh together in beautiful harmonic force, the stuff induces tonal bacchanalia.
Imagine mixing Deftones with QotSA and the DJ from OG 90s Incubus, and filling in the blanks with solid, heavy rock, and that'll get you started on describing Early Bird. GYOZA seems to be branching out in many directions with this new album. Diggin it!
My favorite Tera Melos' album, it's so weird and fun, there are some amazing snaps in tone and time, Patagonian Rats keeps the listener guessing, hooked on each riff.
