This album consists of 6 concise expertly written tracks with a high amount of detail given to every verse. The theme of this album reflects the title and cover through its abstract lyrics and through evoking imagery. The cuts are also well-done, and the Big L samples are appreciated.

This album has thought-provoking and intelligent lyrics, with great depth and substance. Most of the artists on this feature heavy album easily hold their own, and complement the duo's lyrical performance. The cuts on this album are creative and extremely well done. They are some of the best I've ever heard. Formaldehyde is the one of the rawest and hardest rappers with intelligent lyrics I've encountered. Please keep creating music.
  10. Beyond The Speed Of Mind
    by Atma
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
The Heavenly Doors The Heavenly Doors
This is a good starting point for listening to this artist. Atma's lyrics are very intelligent, spoken hard over raw underground beats. This album consists of deep, thought-provoking concepts, with a heavily religious-based theme. Once you give this album a good listen, you will realize how shallow and corny the lyrics are that most other rappers use. Listening to Atma has increased my standards for lyrical content in music.

Future Teacherz (Produced by: Lord Gamma) Future Teacherz (Produced by: Lord Gamma)
Apakalypse and Son of Saturn rap very well together on this album. Apakalypse has a completely raw, battle-rap hardcore style, which harmonizes nicely with SOS' slightly more cohesive and constructed bars. Their lyrics are extremely intelligent and the messages and themes about life present truly resonate with me. These two are very passionate and the concepts they try to portray should challenge the most intellectual of minds. I highly recommend checking out this album.

Corridors of The Golden Eternity Corridors of The Golden Eternity
The lyrics on this album are very creative and have a lot of depth to them. It surprises me how these two are consistently able to create new ways to challenge my mind to grasp the concepts and images they are trying to portray. As the title suggests, this album contains religious and philosophical content, through its complex and abstract lyrics. These two have an amazing way of evoking imagery with their writing and delivery that is completely unparalleled.

    Mind State Mind State
This is one of the first albums that got me into hip hop. This marked my transition from good old-school hip hop to the underground. With samples from Eminem and Big L, it's clear this group was trying to keep real hip hop alive. This album contains a very wide variety of types of songs, from very serious and meaningful ones, to hardcore and less serious songs. The lyrics on this album are outstanding.

As an MC, Life is exceptionally gifted when it comes to lyrically expressing his ideas and thoughts. The content on this album is very deep and has a lot of substance, ranging from Life's personal views on life to real world issues. Additionally, there is a large amount of content on this album, in both the amount of tracks on the album, and in the lyrical content in each song, which makes this album well worth a purchase.

Island of Patmos Island of Patmos
This has to currently be my favorite rap group. I enjoy Jah's material the most when he is rapping amongst Atma and Apakalypse. This album has a more upbeat tone to it for the most part, embracing living life to the fullest in the moment. This album also focuses on existentialism, questioning our value systems and the idea of thinking for yourself. I highly recommend this album to any intellectual who wants to challenge their mind.

As a lyricist and artist, Q-Unique is as lyrical and as hardcore as they come. This album is a mix of intelligent topics and concepts mixed with Q-Unique's hardcore rap style. The level of depth and thought-provoking material he produces in many songs is amazing. Specifically, the songs "Listening Problem" and "No Turning Back" come to mind. Also, I recently listened to an interview and he sounds like a humble person and very appreciative to his fans.

Atma and Apakalypse rap very well together. What I most enjoy about their content is their use of literary techniques in their lyrics, as well as the historical and religious references prevalent throughout their music. Their music honestly pushes me to challenge my way of thinking and think outside the box. Whenever I am looking for new music to listen to, the lyrical content rarely satisfies my need for depth and substance that these two consistently provide.
