    The Kool-Aid The Kool-Aid
Protest/Periphery-a-likes but they do the absolute best job at it. Also considering neither of those two released (full) albums in 2014, Haunt is the perfect tide-over until a couple weeks time.

I always hope bands like these pick up and earn recognition enough to do this as a career! Good luck folks.

  16. Red Giant
    by Barrows
    Black Hole Black Hole
Red Giant sounds exactly how you'd assume it would. Every star has a story and this album is as convincing as it gets in terms of what that story is in audio (or more specifically instrumental metal) form.

It's never boring, appropriately heavy and a single-session listen that deserves your time. Grabbit!
  17. Song of the Crippled Bull
    by Black Crown Initiate
Stench of the Iron Age Stench of the Iron Age
The concept and coherence of this EP far surpasses anything their full album offered. The album is good, but I felt it was more of a showcase than anything particularly ambitious.

This EP is one of my favourite death releases and it has everything to do with how memorable its theme and journey is.

If I was allowed to be selfish and pick what they attempt for their second LP, it'd be to recapture what makes this EP so good and do it errr... biggerer and betterer
