This record pays homage to the black metal of old while also sounding fresh. The production, too, is clear and organic without sounding overdone. Definitely one of my favorite black metal releases of the year.
One of those albums that starts strong and then literally gets stronger and stronger EVERY FUCKING SONG. It's only been two years, but I feel like this is a masterpiece and probably their best.
Cold and melancholic (almost depressive) atmospheric black metal. These two tracks exhibit some gorgeous usage of melody and show a lot of promise for the future. I can’t wait for more material. Paysage d’Hiver fans should take note.
The best black metal album of 2017 and one of my favorites of the decade. Memorable melodies and catchy songwriting are the name of the game here. Don't pass this one by.
Nine months in and still my album of the year. One of the few shimmering rays of hope in an otherwise shit storm of a year. Thank you for this amazing work, Sewerslvt.
