  1. Marshmallow
    by The Sweet Enoughs
    In Mind In Mind
Not into oldies, but this new wave of 60s/70s is exciting! The album is pure bliss. For fans of: Janko Nilovic & The Soul Surfers, John Caroll Kirby and Khruangbin.
  2. The Golden Age
    by übel
the golden age the golden age
Pretty solid step from the previous "Schadenfreude" EP (included in this release) both in production & song writing. "The sun in a net" and my

SEX MONEY POWER SEX MONEY POWER
Enlightened monotone experimentation. Read the full review at briefmuse.wordpress.com/2017/12/29/project-nefast-sex-money-power-2017/. Hope these guys return to blast beats again, as the newer stuff is rather drone.

  8. Immersion Trench Reverie
    by Yellow Eyes
    Jubilat Jubilat
When Shrillness in the heated grass unwinds an aristocratic melody, it clearly depicts the thrice woven crown on the album cover. A listener will be coming back to every track until he/she finds every hidden twist previously not heard. Immersion Trench Reverie is a perfect balance between atmosphere and technical ability and will beat any record this year. 10/10 -

  9. TRIAC - SICK/TIRED Split 12"
    by Triac
    Sinner Meat Sinner Meat
Just like previous split with Sacridose, Triac prove again their technical skills in grindcore/powerviolence/hardcore waters. It´s interesting to watch these guys actually make a progress in a dry genre. I´m all ready for the full length now. The show in Prague was great.
  10. Sentient Village // Obsolescent Garden
    by Dendritic Arbor
    Failed Manifestations Failed Manifestations
The band experiments with blackened grindcore even more on this one. While adding mathcore and jazzy elements they still manage to create extraordinary compositions that might be the most extreme and unique in history of metal. 10/10
  11. διαδήλωση
    by Haunter
    Vial Vial
Excellent dosage of USBM with progressive compositions. Raw but not simple. 8/10
  12. Diminished Composition
    by Willamette
Four Films (Films Four) Four Films (Films Four)
Pretty good album bringing even more nostalgic moments and feelings of dusty furniture. Sounds of previous records making me long for more. 7/10
  13. Go Hence Unto A Swift And Bitter Death
    by Lesser Life
Cursed Under Cloud And Sky Cursed Under Cloud And Sky
Still the best material from the band to date. Twisted mix of black metal, grindcore and even downtempo-hardcore breakdowns. Innovative and suicidal. 9/10
  14. Rough Hands
    by Rough Hands
    Toska Toska
It would be a shame, if Rough Hands were labeled melodic hardcore. These guys play thrashy riffs with melodic agression and dark ambience. Suburban psychedelia. 10/10
  15. Nothing's Changed
    by Rough Hands
Mind In Pieces Mind In Pieces
Another EP, another punchy psychedelic hardcore excellence. Rough Hands know how to make you pay attention and smash everything around. Remarkable riffs. 10/10
  16. S/T Demo
    by Nigh
    Forbearer Forbearer
Too bad they split up. All material is a great mix of death/thrash/hardcore. 10/10
  17. MÆRE
    by Old Skin
    HAG//RIDDEN HAG//RIDDEN
When I listened to this EP, I was very excited to here my first blackened hardcore record. I was hoping for new things in the genre and Old Skin satisfied my taste completely. 8/10
  18. DEMO 2013
    by IMPRISONED
  19. I·M·P·R·O·M·P·T·U
    by Bruno Sanfilippo
    Impromptu 1 Impromptu 1
Very minimal, calming and cozy compositions. Due to improvisation, this is a very experimental record apart from the previous albums. I can´t wait to here another Impromptu. 10/10
  20. Piano Textures 3
    by Bruno Sanfilippo
Piano Textures 3 VIII Piano Textures 3 VIII
One of the best ambient composers in the world. Piano Textures deliver very well-written compositions and discover each time a slightly different theme with every release. Pure and autumnal. 10/10
