  1. Shadow_Movement
    by The Anix
    Incomplete Incomplete
Pairs well with: William Gibson short fiction in the rain, whiskey sours in foreign airports, DDoS attacks at 3am.

Working through my third full-play-through on release day, and a lot of the texture is starting to come to the fore - notes and beats that my ears glossed over initially. This is an album that keeps on giving. It is hard to believe the album is the work of a single person - a lot of creativity and variation between songs, while all still feeling like part of a cohesive whole. Although the Anix is now a solo act, this is perhaps the best work yet released by the artist.

The lyrics are extremely timely and have a strong emotional core. They paint vivid pictures in the mind and leave you wanting more. "Cyberpunk" is often a genre label applied to creative fiction, but I think this an excellent example of cyberpunk as music - not just because it is electronic or technical (it is both), but because the topics discussed within these tracks leave such a haunting feeling of modern neon dystopia in their wake. Don't miss out on this. Shadow_Movement is a serious hit and worth your hard-earned crypto currency.
