    by Jucifer
    00:00/00:00
To the End To the End
I don't know whether to choose the arrogant beauty of Armada, or the bask in the sunlit haze of Coma. The harsh rush of Deficit, or the creeping depredation of The Assembly.

... But I'll choose the song most perfect for this album, itself most perfect. If you like any kind of music at all, listen to this.
    Hail Jucifer, baby.

Demon Drone (Level - Minos) Demon Drone (Level - Minos)
Do you ever wake up at night?
    Knowing that everything is fine?
And the fact that everything /is/ fine is what frightens you..?

That's the musical impact of Demon Drone. It's almost comforting, and that thin line of comfort is... Just listen to it. Then buy the album.
  10. Doom Playstation: Official Soundtrack - 20th Anniversary Extended Edition
    by Aubrey Hodges
    00:00/00:00
Mutation (Level - Phobos Anomaly) Extended Mutation (Level - Phobos Anomaly) Extended
I've got nothing to say other then this is fantastic, and you should listen. And then listen again. Immerse yourself in it, then buy it. And then listen until the sound overwhelms your ears.
  11. Quake - Nintendo 64: Official Soundtrack
    by Aubrey Hodges
    00:00/00:00
Soul Eaters (Level - The Necropolis) Soul Eaters (Level - The Necropolis)
I want to bury myself in the raw sound. It armours me. I am afraid of it, but it feels righteous. This feels righteous; fear and paranoia give way to glee.

There's no real word for this kind of ambience. It's dark and beautiful. I love it.
  12. Refelctions of Veldra
    by Aubrey Hodges
    00:00/00:00
    It tells an acoustic story.

... It's not a popular reason anymore to say that you play videogames for the story, but...

Did you ever play something, probably incomplete?

With glitchy skyboxes, no real plot, bad enemy ai..? Who knows how many other problems..?

And did the nameless, characterless void call out to you - did you fill it with friends, and enemies, and stories that all vanished as memory and interest faded..?

That's the Reflection of Veldra, perhaps - or it is my reflection.
  13. Journey Into The Sacred Places
    by Aubrey Hodges
    00:00/00:00
    Remembering Pools Remembering Pools
Beautiful, most all the tracks are long, ambient, and have that strange mix of profundity and brittleness that brings to back the wild and untamed fantasy landscapes of the 80s90s. Remembering Pools is an amazing track, and almost worthy of purchase on it's own merit...
  14. Quest for Glory - Shadows of Darkness: Official Soundtrack
    by Aubrey Hodges

Rusalka - Soundtrack Version (Real Instruments) Rusalka - Soundtrack Version (Real Instruments)
To fall into a pleasant lake, and linger there for awhile.
Someone is asking me something, I can't remember what -
The lillies are in my ears, now.
And the water is in my lungs.
    Such a beautiful sound -
I think I'll listen for awhile.

(That's poetic paffamarole for buy the darn album.)
  15. Through Lung and Heart
    by DEVOURING STAR
    00:00/00:00
Through Lung And Heart Through Lung And Heart
Really hard to choose between this and To Traverse the Black Flame.

So I won't; both are amazing, and the whole album is some of the purest terrifying beauty I've had the pleasure of listening to.

    00:00/00:00
Just So You Know I Do Just So You Know I Do
Corporate Art is also amazing, it was tough for me. I feel like this was cut from the most amazing movie I never watched; it feels 'right'.

Bears down on you, and you won't look back up, like an oversized portrait the boss before your previous boss hung up to leer down on you... Musically.
  17. OverCoat 3: One Night in Neo-Seattle
    by OverCoat
    00:00/00:00
    Sunset Sunset
Honestly, I missed the dimension I was supposed to be in. It's this dimension. Neo-Seattle, in all it's glory, is worth the trip and more. Visit it, stay as long as you like, and smoke a cigarette into the glowering fog while waiting for your next run...

Dr. Bakula to the Future [Time Travel Medley] Dr. Bakula to the Future [Time Travel Medley]
Every single track on this mix makes me smile. Think of better times. Even when there's so much awful in the world, at least there's the LONELYROLLINGSTARS - and at least there's CARNIVORTEX.

The whole album is great, but I was surprised the most by the remix at the end - it's so smooth. Fantastic.

I am confused as to why I can't slap a favourite on both parts of the Moe Moe Kyunstep, because I favourite them both. They are my favourites. I cherish them. Cherish.

    Vacation Wasteland Vacation Wasteland
It's Slime Girls. You like Slime Girls, don't you?! There are two kinds of people, those who do, and those who don't realize they do. Vacation Wasteland is the best track, but it's a perfect album. Get it, and melt in that gooey ambience.

    00:00/00:00
    Phantasmagoria Phantasmagoria
Samples various beautiful things, with it's own beautiful melodies to create a faint line between electric dreams and post-industrial reality.

I like it - a lot. Good to listen to when you're not sure how you're feeling.
  28. LAMINATE PET ANIMAL
    by SNOWMINE
    00:00/00:00
Danger in the Snow! Danger in the Snow!
Danger in the Snow is one of the most crazily beautiful tracks I've heard; it's regal, beautiful, intense - much like Snowmine in it's entirety.

Because Digital Eel and their Nightmare Band or the proto-electric heroes our true psyches need, and when my preserved brain achieves its final form, I wanna go on a digital nightmare journey with 'em.

The music is pretty fly, too.

Have you ever wandered the CyberStreets by Cyberlight? If not, you should give it a try. The Datajack in the back of your head is guaranteed to provide pleasing electric simulations.
  34. The Path
    by OverCoat
    00:00/00:00
    isla isla
All of OverCoat's music - and their collaborations with Skrypunk - tell stories. The Path feels perennially familiar to me, and the title says it all. Isla captures that feel of dizzying light after waking up to a book placed over your face... Knowing you're still traveling, but for a brief moment not remember where, or why.

    Fantastic album.

Sometimes you meet someone you love, and othertimes you meat someone you love. The difference between the two is important. Good music? That's rockin' important, too.
