I didn't think it was possible for Dan Terminus to outdo himself after how excellent Automated Refrains was, but Gothic Engine is probably better in nearly every single respect. This is truly a top tier dark synth album.
Deadlife never ceases to one-up his prior work with every new release, and this album is a real milestone in his career in my opinion. Some incredible engineering and sound design was put in to this and it really shows.
This is by far Baldocaster's best work yet and, as usual, not a single track overstays its welcome while still managing to be long enough to feel like a comprehensive piece of music. I don't know how Baldocaster does it, but I love it.
