Come On, Let's Love Come On, Let's Love
Beautiful piano-pop colored by a range of emotional lyrics which dig at the heart. Songs here are regretful, yearning, fond, defiant, and confused - much like actual human relationships! Backed up by drums, bass, and an all-male chorus, zanders is brilliant.

Undoubtedly some of tastiest blues that I've had the great pleasure of listening to in my short life. The Fattback style combines the best of old and new, soul and gospel, Delta and Chicago. This is the good-time music that everybody deserves to hear.

The folk scene in Western MA is like this:
When I was 19, I was visiting my ex-girlfriend at Mount Holyoke and we decided to take the bus into Northampton for dinner. At the bus stop in front of Hampshire, a man who looks suspiciously like Tim let me noodle on his Ellis A-style mandolin. It was the coolest thing ever to be included like that, even for a minute. This album is inclusive, intimate, and hugely enjoyable.

I confess that I've called Great Big Sea my "all-time favorite band" for years, which led me to Sean's solo work. Comparisons end there, however, because this album stands alone. The lyrics and music presented in this 30 minutes are more precious and often profound. Folk ballads and rock anthems share the bill with confessional and autobiographical poetry. Superb work which earns the label, "opus."
  18. Summer Demo 2013
    by Assembly At Dusk
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
The Ashen Night The Ashen Night
Though the band may currently find itself in geographical limbo, or perhaps is simply no longer a band, the tracks here plunge headlong into furious metal jams. Jeff's vocals are controlled and passionate, and the tight rhythms and guitars definitely leave you wanting more. Here's hoping we hear more in the future.
