    00:00/00:00
    Simple Dreams Simple Dreams
Subtle space synth/ambient that focuses on creating a certain atmosphere rather than being "just music". The cinematic structure of the songs makes it a really good stuff to work with your imagination.
  2. Grim Omen
    by Storm King
    00:00/00:00
    FIAT GLADIO FIAT GLADIO
Top notch darksynth with some guitar surprises along the way. I hope this album will gain some attention because it truly deserves it. Let the nostalgia vibes flow. P.S. the guitar solos are badass.
  3. THE DARK BEYOND
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    The Prowler The Prowler
Gregorio Franco may do the heaviest darksynth out there. This stuff should come with a warning as it's much heavier than anything Gost or Carpenter Brut have done ever. Hearing just a few seconds convinced me to buy the whole discography. My top 5 darksynth artists just gained a new name. I WANT MORE OF THIS.
  4. Syndicate: The Heist
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    Epilogue: Sunset Epilogue: Sunset
This album gave me chills all throughout the runtime. Melancholic take on a crime story with an epic closing song.
  5. Sadistic Intent
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    Dead Heat Dead Heat
A trip to the diverse depths of darksynth that offers everything from distorted splattersynth to laid-back piano. Nice showcase of Gregorio Franco's abilities.

    00:00/00:00
    There's Always a City There's Always a City
I absolutely love this. The massive sound and energy that oozes from this album is what's missing on many releases that come out lately. There is a love for this craft hidden behind the notes.
  7. War Machine
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    The Killer The Killer
Despite the first song being an aggressive banger, most of this album is a well-made atmospheric and melodic ride through the synth waves. It just screams for a night listening.
  8. STALKER: THE FINAL CUT
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
SCENE IV: ALLEY JUSTICE SCENE IV: ALLEY JUSTICE
This is a complete re-work of the original Stalker album, but now it's raging hard on steroids that have enabled it to go absolutely crazy. It's a completely new take on the original songs.
  9. FUTURE PAST: A Tribute Collection
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    Murphy(Robocop) Murphy(Robocop)
A collection of classic themes from classic movies. All of them are awesome, but Robocop just has that special place in my heart.
  10. Driving at Midnight
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
    Stalker Stalker
Very dark album that is so subtle that it might even be considered as a giallo soundtrack. It slowly creeps on you like a serial killer stalking his victim.
  11. STALKER: Scenes From a Slasher Film
    by Gregorio Franco
    00:00/00:00
Scene V: WaveForm Mutiny Scene V: WaveForm Mutiny
This is like John Carpenter's score to Halloween but cranked up to 1.21 jigowatts. Very sinister sound that clashes with a full-blown aggression.
  12. The Infernal Schism
    by Hexenkraft
    00:00/00:00
Hellfire Assault Battalion Hellfire Assault Battalion
After visiting Hell on the first EP, the Hell is coming to visit Earth. With more advanced sound and balanced instruments, this EP will tear your soul apart. Oh and remember what I said about Doom on the first EP?
  13. Hexenkraft
    by Hexenkraft
    00:00/00:00
The Devil Rides Out The Devil Rides Out
This could very well be a darksynth answer to last year's Doom soundtrack. It's an electronic trip to Hell with no soft spots.
  14. Velvet Vendetta
    by Bionic Resistance
    00:00/00:00
    Danton Phantom Danton Phantom
Bionic Resistance is kind of a hidden gem among the synthwave artists. Despite his amazing and epic sound and high quality composition, there's not much spotlight on him and that's a damn shame. This album just proves what has been established on his earlier albums, it's a wonderful trip down the memory lane to the 80s. If you want to listen to some very good synthwave, Bionic Resistance should be one of your first choices.
  15. Light Our Darkest Hour EP
    by Primorph
    00:00/00:00
    Metroplexual Metroplexual
Nicely composed album with softer sound and majestic melodies that invoke the feeling of a little space opera happening here. It's a very pleasant listening that's worth your time.
  16. arachnophony
    by ulyssio
    00:00/00:00
    no escape no escape
Relentless barrage of distorted synths that will please every darksynth fan. Ulyssio's extremely heavy approach to the genre will find a way to your mind faster than a swarm of cyberspiders.

Biodrive - Midnight Affair Biodrive - Midnight Affair
Buying an album for a good cause is the least we could do here on Bandcamp. I'm happy to donate some money through this awesome album to those who need it.
  19. The Epoch Code
    by Die Scum Inc.
    00:00/00:00
    Humanity 2.0 Humanity 2.0
Slightly more aggressive and robotic in nature than their previous work, this album will let you longing for a movie where robots outnumber humans and buildings are covered in neons and wires.
  20. My Fist is Fight: The Notion Picture Soundtrack
    by Die Scum Inc.
    00:00/00:00
    Montage Montage
Bloodsport is my favorite martial arts movie so I can't help but to imagine it with this soundtrack. Awesome feel for the tropes of the genre (both movie and music) is present here at all times, and when I first heard Montage, it was like someone just did a dim mak on me.

    by Die Scum Inc.
    00:00/00:00
An Ode to Cushing Price An Ode to Cushing Price
Playful album that really sounds like it was spawned decades ago and someone ripped it from a VHS, therefore the slightly dirtier production.
  22. Human Error (A)
    by STRNGR
    00:00/00:00
A Walk in the Rain A Walk in the Rain
Very good album that I can't describe as just darksynth because it fuses several electronic genres together to create not very common sound. Killer Instinct (may his project rest in peace) had very similar style. It's dark, danceable, retro, heavy and the song A Walk in the Rain is just massively epic. Love this album, I hope there will be more in the future!
  23. War Moans
    by Mutoid Man
    00:00/00:00
Irons in the Fire Irons in the Fire
Mutoid Man are the kings of music that is fun to play and fun to listen to. The energy is constant through the entire album as the songs aren't being stretched into too many minutes and you just can't keep from smiling as every single song is just so damn enjoyable and anthemic. One of the metal albums of the year for sure.
  24. Grave Plague - The Infected Crypts
    by Grave Plague
    00:00/00:00
Halls of the Rotten Halls of the Rotten
Fans of the old Entombed will be pleased with this two-song treat that incorporates everything I love about this kind of death metal. The buzzsaw guitars rip through your eardrums with no remorse.

Ambient soundscapes with an oriental flavor. The cinematic structure makes it a perfect album to underline your nights spent playing videogames or just looking at a nearby neon-lit city.
  26. It's Great To See You Again
    by The Editor
    00:00/00:00
    Seoul Seoul
Hard to describe this album as it is very diverse, but the main ingredients are synths, hip hop beats, saxophones and massive walls of sound. Very interesting piece of work.
  27. Add fuel to the fire
    by TV-Players
    00:00/00:00
In My Heart In My Heart
Fans of AOR and synthwave, prepare to get your hearts melted. The guitar solos are beautiful and same goes for the synths. It's a very powerful record that achieves in 20 minutes what some artists can't achieve in 20 albums.

    by Greyskull
    00:00/00:00
You Can Bring Your Toys You Can Bring Your Toys
This was probably the shortest time between discovering an artist and buying his album for me. The whole album carries a happy and uplifting atmosphere and pays a tribute to the ordinary life in the 80s which is probably why it feels like it is not some kind of a gimmick. I recommend this release to everyone!
  30. Player One
    by 20SIX Hundred
    00:00/00:00
    Vehicular Combat Vehicular Combat
As the name suggests, this album focuses on videogames, so expect plenty of arcade sounds and adrenaline fueled melodies.
  31. The Cold Rise From Sleep
    by 20SIX Hundred
    00:00/00:00
    Death Perception Death Perception
Besides obvious horror inspirations, this album is mostly action-oriented and packs quite a punch as it focuses on speed and aggression. It's something to get your heart pumping.
  32. Pax'illa - The Death Journey

    00:00/00:00
Pax'illa (The Death Journey) Pax'illa (The Death Journey)
Haunting ambient with some great twists along the way. That toned down piano on the first song is mesmerizing.

Vehicular Combat (Live) Vehicular Combat (Live)
Live show must be crazy as hell judging by these awesome outtakes. Sounds like taken straight from a space club.

A Clash Of Steel And Circuits* (feat. Jon of the Shred) A Clash Of Steel And Circuits* (feat. Jon of the Shred)
Why isn't this called "A Collection of Absolutely Badass Music" is the right question here. The purchase itself contains around 30 songs that will make you stop breathing for the whole duration of the album. Hats down to this record.
  35. The Next Level

    00:00/00:00
The Next Level The Next Level
Absolutely stunning concept album with darker space vibes and overall good flow from start to finish. Trust me, there's no time to get bored in here.
  36. PHANTASMAGORIC
    by 20SIX Hundred
    00:00/00:00
    Gaining Momentum Gaining Momentum
This album is probably amongst the 10 best synthwave records of all time. And that's a big thing for me to say. It's amazing how much power and atmosphere this album contains, without the need for crutches like distortion etc. This is a TRUE nostalgia trip.
  37. Halloween Resurgence Soundtrack (2012)
    by 20SIX Hundred
    00:00/00:00
Ritchie and Rebecca Ritchie and Rebecca
Don't expect much of a synthwave record as this is mostly dark ambient, with DARK being the important word. Can't think of a better place to put music like this than into some horror movie.
  38. The Eviscerator Soundtrack (EP)
    by 20SIX Hundred
    00:00/00:00
    Victory (Montage) Victory (Montage)
Had this movie existed, I would rate it 10/10 just for the soundtrack. The nods to the clichés of 80s movie soundtracks are just superb.

    Night Night
Another mostly ambient album by 20SIX Hundred, this time with some moments lingering towards drone. Atmosphere is the main focus here and it's absolutely chilling and scary. Pure horror in sonic form.
  40. Forever War
    by Meteor
    00:00/00:00
13 minute journey of guitars, synths and undeniable feel for the 80s.
  41. Hologram

    00:00/00:00
    Hologram Hologram
One of the best sounds achieved in the genre. Distorted bass lines and crystal clear synths that got me hooked instantly. Definitely an album worth owning!
  42. Pressure Mine

    00:00/00:00
    Nazarene Nazarene
Half man, half machine, all industrial. The Drone Engineer returns with another one of his mechanized monsters, mastering his craft and delivering an amazing experience that is meant to be played loud.

Hollywood Burns - Came To Annihilate (Battlejuice Remix) Hollywood Burns - Came To Annihilate (Battlejuice Remix)
The character limit in these reviews prevents me from properly describing how awesome this album is, but trust me, this collection is something EVERY synthwave fan should own. It's got everything from dreamwave to darksynth and is ideal for introducing the genre to new people as well as pleasing an experienced listener. Hard to pick a favorite, but that Hollywood Burns cover by Battlejuice is just so badass!
  44. Million Star
    by REVEREND
    00:00/00:00
    Phantom Limb Phantom Limb
A healthy dose of sludgy rock from the depths of Detroit. The raw fuzzy sound is definitely one of the selling points of this album.
  45. I Can Tell You About Pain
    by Converge
    00:00/00:00
I Can Tell You About Pain I Can Tell You About Pain
Converge return with a masterful taste of two different sides of the band. Title song is a classic fast-paced hardcore banger with Jacob Bannon's monstrous screams, while Eve is a slow ballad that reminds me of the final song from Jane Doe, being a massive behemoth crushing its way through your eardrums.
