Life Metal, like Monoliths and Dimensions, is less about grim forms of noise/drone like on some of their past classics, and more aligned with exploring what "heaviness" can mean. This isn't uncommon for them, but this album specifically ushers in qualities I haven't yet fully seen from them. I wouldn't exactly describe it as warm as others have, but describe it as immense. Once again, it is not unlike them to produce such an album, but there is a celebratory air to these recordings; an assuredness they've clearly earned. With this release, they've solidified their goals as musicians: bringing a well needed physicality to sound consumption. Much Love to these guys and your work.
