The Pinnacle Of Hypocrisy The Pinnacle Of Hypocrisy
Shoutouts to Zarydya for indirectly recommending this to me. I am not educated on the greater minutiae of the various subgenre of metal, but I am aware enough to know what makes good music and this is just that. The guitar playing is very creative and hard-hitting. The drumming is powerful but not overstated like many are wont to do on albums of this ilk. The lyrics are poignant and the vocals are just the right level of gutteral without losing too much coherency. Solid effort overall.
  3. mini mix vol. 3
    by Magdalena Bay
This album is immaculately produced, first and foremost. Mixing is great and engineering is award-worthy. The songs themselves are quite pleasant to the ears. The lyrics are fun and playful. Most of all, this is just a complete-feeling album top to bottom. Attention was put into making it worth the buy as opposed to streaming it. As such, I would recommend you do so.
  4. The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We
    by Mitski
I Love Me After You I Love Me After You
The reason this review has taken so long is complicated. I had this feeling I was not giving the album enough time or attention to formulate my real opinion on it. What I have come to realize recently is that the album just does not click with me the same way as other Mitski releases. I am not in tune with whatever she is trying to say in this particular release. There is not much wrong with it, besides shoddy mixing and engineering. Just not for me.
  5. Prescription for Sleep: Undertale
    by GENTLE LOVE
SAVE the World SAVE the World
A beautiful, gently sweeping jazz experience that is sure to give me warm and cozy feelings every time I listen to it. Toby Fox's melodies translate beautifully into this instrumental delight that I can recommend to most anyone. I am immensely satisfied with this purchase and very happy to support this Japanese duo. Legitimately, their group name is the most befitting it could be in regards to the kind of music they produce.
  6. KNOWER FOREVER
    by KNOWER
I'm The President I'm The President
I've had plenty of time to digest this album. Knower is on par once again! All the key instrumentation remains in tact. The singing is wonderful, especially compared to the hit-or-miss vocals on Louis' latest full length album. Mixing could be better, though. Sorry, just being honest. A nice blend of serious and silly lyrics makes it alright in my book. Support the band and buy the album before it heads to streaming. This duo is one you cannot overlook. Knower IS truly for forever. Peace!
  7. CooCool
    by Róisín Murphy
Bizarre as hell cover art, but classic Róisín Murphy listening is in store for those who indulge in this single. I would very much like to hear a new album with this sort of aesthetic. It has the quintessential vocals one would enjoy with this artist. Yet, it has a modern and warm summer-y vibe to the backing track as well.
  8. Love
    by bill wurtz
This is a surprisingly contemporary pop album by bill wurtz. The songs on here could easily be heard in a rom-com movie, but in a good way. Very tasteful and pleasant to the ears. I actually think this might be some of his best work to date. Shame it is buried on his oft-overlooked Bandcamp page. Favorite track is All U Need Is Love.
  9. Quality Over Opinion
    by Louis cole
Failing in a Cool Way Failing in a Cool Way
This is a pretty good full length album by a pretty talented dude. Not the biggest fan of his singing, but as I got further into the album it grew on me. I would love to play this on a long car drive and really soak in the emotion of this album. That's probably why I bought the CD. It is, in essence, a roller-coaster of a record. One that I feel satisfied with, but will probably appreciate more once I make a habit of going back to it when I can.
  10. Skibidi
    by little Big
little Big is half comedy with the other half being sick ass jams. For some, this may be grating or unlistenable. To me, it is a killer track with an unforgettable hook and a fantastic music video to go along with it. Not to mention, they are class acts in regards to their cancelled appearance at Eurovision and subsequent passing of the torch for its return. Therefore, I happily gave them my money.
  11. Hades: Original Soundtrack
    by Darren Korb
    No Escape No Escape
This simply came as part of my Nintendo Switch copy of Hades, although really I just so happened to buy a lightly used case that still had the code for this. Such is life, I guess. Jealous?
  12. Laurel Hell
    by Mitski
Working for the Knife Working for the Knife
This album is quite easily Mitski's best album. I loved it so much I essentially bought it twice to get the t-shirt and the cd. I really appreciate the songwriting ability that she possesses. Not only in her poem-like lyrics (written in an especially poignant and prosed way might I add) but also with the sole compositions she made for almost the entire album. She is more than a rock artist, a pop artist, or a contemporary artist. She is truly in a league of her own.

  14. Working for the Knife
    by Mitski
Just when I thought Mitski couldn't out do herself, she released this wonderful track that really speaks volumes about ego, vanity, and reality itself. She is truly one of the greats and I'm glad she's back and better than ever after her hiatus.
  15. God Is Partying
    by Andrew W.K.
    Babalon Babalon
This is a great change from Andrew's normal catalogue, yet oddly familiar as well. This is certainly his most daring and genius project to date. What a career resurgence for my rock idol.
  16. Robotron X Playstation - Official Soundtrack
    by Aubrey Hodges
Robotron X Main Theme Robotron X Main Theme
This is bumping shit even now. This is very much in tune with modern EDM and is one hell of an OST.

RIP Keith Flint. Liam Howlett is a legend. What more can I say?
  18. Overtime (Live Band Session)
    by KNOWER
This is one funky jam. I wish they hadn't ripped it directly from the video. Other than that, pure gold.
  19. ORCA FORCE
    by RED ORCA
This is the closest I'll get to an official release of a No More Heroes album online. Let me savor this moment for all its glory.
  20. A Pearl
    by Mitski
Mitski is an artist that lives up to the hype. This is her at her best in my opinion. This track is raw in its emotion and perfectly flawed in its execution. The music video for this track is amazing too by the way. The power of this song's story is enough for me to thoroughly recommend repeat listens. Don't just stream it, experience it.
