Atmospheric, dark, well written and powerful. I love the lyrical concepts of the album and have been frequenting it since I discovered it after a long search for it on vinyl.

I don't even think there are words that exist that can be used to describe how awesome this album is. It's honestly hard to pick a favorite. Modern tech death masterpiece with progressive undertones, and already a contender for my AOTY upon its release.

This album is astounding. Not only are the lyrics completely thought provoking and alluring, the composition is technical, progressive and heavy. Certain portions have you staring at beauty, and others are crushing. This is something that I will be listening to over and over again for quite some time. Hands down the greatest release of 2015 thus far.

    Pyrrhic Pyrrhic
This album was incredible, and was definitely in my top of 2014. It is a gorgeously haunting mix of progressive death metal with classical instrumental.

As for my favorite track, as all are amazing, Pyrrhic takes the spot. As you listen to the song it begins with a heavy intro and softly transforms into a beautiful finish, ending with perhaps the most gorgeous lyrics of the album to evoke the feeling of a demise with the power of the entire song behind it. It is definitely my most played.
  27. The Path of Apotheosis
    by Inferi
    00:00/00:00
The Path of Apotheosis The Path of Apotheosis
While it was difficult to pick a favorite track, as all of them are not only wonderfully written and astounding, this is the perfect close to an enthralling and sick album.

This is easily top of my list for new releases of 2014. The concept for the album is amazing, and was no doubt written by talented and creative musicians.
  28. THE EARLY CHAPTERS
    by SOILWORK

    SHADOW CHILD SHADOW CHILD
Soilwork has been my favorite band since I was ten years old. They've continued to amaze me with material over the span of 13 years of listening. They always put on a good show, and showcase talent in their subgenre, progressing ever so slightly to keep their music timeless to their fans, and to also give their music a new and interesting face.
