Adrift lies in an impressive sonic territory...so many shifts and samples, but most of all, there's a sense of space in these songs that feels physical. Listen closely and you'll get glimpses of what it's like to be surrounded by a sea of people and still feel stranded. If I had to guess, I'd say music is Eston's life vest keeping him afloat through the tough times.

    Love's Refrain Love's Refrain
I wouldn't go with Shoegaze. This triggers chill wave or vaporwave for me but without the kitsch and heavy synthesizer use. The found sound and tape reel stuff reminds me a bit of some work from a few of my other favorite experimenters/outsiders like Willis Earl Beal and Dirty Beaches. Check out @mus.mus.proper IG for my visuals to "Love's Refrain".

McMahon's teenage angst and rebellious escape into music (Blue Rose) may be a familiar story for many but that's what makes it so great. McMahon is more appealing and transparent than ever.
