bought this to say i remember discovering this album in middle school and i think it changed my life - probably wouldn't have begun making music if it weren't for this. also kept me from disintegrating into my basic molecular structures in senior year of high school. thank you for everything.
goofy, fun hardcore tunes + lots of atmospheric melodic tracks that still shred like hell!!!! and probably one of the most amazing intro tracks to a speedcore album i've heard in a while.
COVER YOUR EARS is a wild, goofy ride with all kinds of really dumb jokes and catchy tunes and banger beats. i remember discovering this through the speedcore tag. i must've been around 14 and i was like, WOW, this is awesome! and i showed my friends and everything. i still have a lot of good memories associated w/ this one.
ATTENTION STARVE has its moments of both atmospheric, introspective, vibey music and nasty, noisy beats. a violent explosion of frustrated, restless emotion, like your own skeleton's trying to claw its way out.
i admit i bought this for how wonderful the CD looked. russelbuck's self-titled album is a playful, nostalgic adventure, being maximalist without being overwhelming.
