From the delicate, immersive poetry of “lullaby” to the road trip toe-tapper of “weather,” LPW delivers another album that grabs our attention with sound design and holds it with lush visual lyrics. Fans of “October” will appreciate the quiet, understated restlessness; what’s new are the toy instruments. In less deft hands they might overwhelm, but Lily coaxes wistful emotionality from them in a way that makes them more human than human. Magic.
