This is an absolutely phenomenal record. Much like another commenter mentioned, I have no idea how this band escaped my notice. Whatever that reason was, I am grateful they are now within my archive. The atmosphere achieved on this project is incredibly unique, and is something darkly reminiscent of where black metal was birthed - in a cold, hard, mystical place. Those facets can be heard loud and clear on Zorzysta Staje Oćma. It will likely make my top records of 2023. Hail.

Why do I love this album, Bandcamp asks? Because nihilism can be a gift whether intentioned well or otherwise. This is not a record you turn on to feel good about with, or to silently tap your foot as you gaze out a window thinking of the birds & fairies, rather a warning to yourself that what lies within needs to be freed without haste, and killed. #COTSC
