I had just finished the most physically demanding hike of my life: The Golden Ears. I was exhausted and questioning whether I truly wanted to do more hiking. I started driving out of the park, and CBC Radio was playing this album as a showcase of those on the Polaris Music Prize shortlist. The energy and joy conveyed lifted my spirits, and I will forever associate it with that weekend. I bought the vinyl as soon as I got home.
