I heard Summoning in 1997 for the first time and years later, listening to their 21st century albums is still either inspiration to make music or to simply let the best be the best and one's own guitars and drums sit idle.
Superb album, again. No one else is Summoning --but there could be more(?).
Excellent sound, some catchy stuff here, obvious R Smith vocal pitch and patterns. Just lacking some real drumming rhythmic variety —as much of dark wave and new wave derivatives lack nowadays.
