I Live Now As A Singer I Live Now As A Singer
I Live Now as A Singer (as she well deserves to do!).

Bone-chilling track, gorgeous arrangement, attention-getting performance. The whole album is beautiful, but this is the one that makes the antennae quiver. Well done.

    I Can't Tell I Can't Tell
A folky voice and laid back demeanor propel these individualized melodies and lyrics. Mostly soft, mostly appealing, I couldn't dislike any of the songs. Forced to pick one, I picked "I Can't Tell" as a fave, but there were certainly other contenders, like "I do." I can't wait to hear more from Meiko.

    Sleeping Beauty Sleeping Beauty
This is a diverse collection that was good enough to make me go buy Promises and the Ghosts EP. Sometimes it is bluesy, sometimes a little bit country, sometimes down the middle folk-pop. Overall, it's a great album with enough variety to keep you interested. I'll be looking for anything else she does. This has the feel of someone on the verge of really making it big.

    Towers Towers
A wave of harmony caresses the ear, but the bouncy, mostly upbeat songs make this a feel-good album from start to finish. The finale probably epitomizes that. I particularly liked Towers and Julian, both a bit personal and particularly appealing, but there wasn't a dog in the bunch.
