Big fan of Michael Cottone and The Green Kingdom but also a lover of dub textures. I've been playing this every night when I close the bar down at work. Perfect soundscapes for 4am. People always ask me who it is. Highly recommended.
This is a thick-cut slab of warm and gooey chocolate cake. With layers of static, cleanly strummed jazzy guitars and intimate/manipulated vocals. When summer comes I will bake under the sun to this album.
What a gem to discover. Huge fan of Hood's last two records and this is a natural and exciting progression. Immaculately produced with tasty drums that oscillate between cold and chilly to warm and gooey. I hope there is more to come.
It's 1:14 AM and I'm listening to this record. What a revelation these songs are in the small hours. Porya is a master of compiling ear tingling sounds that wash and stir from side to side in your headphones. Buy this now.
