The reason why "the golden grave" is so effective for me is the way it resonates with me completely, on all levels. The way Mr. Ross delivers these lines speaks to me as wholly genuine; the wordplay is varied and meaningful. The instrumentals are skillful, yet subtle, balanced with Aaron's vocals. The whole spectacle feels raw and personal, like I'm listening to a mirror of my life.
This album has this dejected sadness and anger at a world that brings to life the things I wanted to say but never could find the words for...it is simply amazing, the real, genuine emotion that is brought out.
I cannot recommend this album more than enough, as it is my favorite record of all time.
