Whether it's the impressionistic lyrics (at least, they evoke fleeting, flickering imagery more thematic than concrete to me) or the intricately layered instrumentation, this has the depth I look for but almost never find in melancholic music.
It's a rare album that can inspire that kind of cosmic-scale reflection and keep the momentum; there's not one weak song. Loving the bass and subtle electronic touches--the way these elements blend together is incredible.
