Having gone on to bigger things, this 2016 album from Henge frontman Matthew Whittaker is likely to be overlooked by most. Sitting somewhere between both Tim and Jeff Buckley, David Gilmour, Rufus Wainwright, this is a beautiful record. Matthew's songwriting chops are a gift and there are clear parallels with his later output but this is an altogether totally different beast. I hope that one day Matthew puts out some new material in this more reflective and less obtuse vein. Excellent stuff.
