Smoker Dad definitely has a throwback Southern Rock sound but specializes in a lot of rhythm changes while being very FAST and very LOUD. Lead vocals are typically hidden behind reverb but when needed ("Daddy's Van"), all the harmonies are handled splendidly. The other band members complement their duties quite well: the pedal steel, harmonica and keyboards work well together. The bassist is loud & excellent, the drummer and lead guitarist all fit songs together in a entertaining rock puzzle.
