This whole album has insane songwriting fundamentals, paired up with vaporwave-style synths that would be sterile and bland if it weren't for a fuzzy analog presence found on almost every used instrument. This is one for the synth nerds like me.
This album oozes thought and calculated decisions. It was definitely treated with care by the artist. I feel classic female-led 70's Dungeons & Dragons metal vibes. Female singers are usually a hard sell for me but Bergfried pulls it off, she is taaaaalented.
BLACKARTS'N'ALCHMEEEEYAAAH!!!
For real though, what a killer of an album, really scratches that black thrash itch I always have ever since Skeletonwitch got lame.
Gritty, intense, borderline depressing. Complex riffage and layering of sounds. It's a goddamn masterpiece and you should give Deadlife nine bucks withought a second thought ;)
Stupid-good production quality. No problem making out lyrics even when growled. And the whole album is heavier than a Caterpillar 797F loaded with lead bricks.
It's a weird deviation from perturbator's usual stuff. But in a good way. Very minimalistic yet still dark and "military". Kind of reminds me of invader zim.
