Having enjoyed Patrick’s uplifting musical tweets during the pandemic I preordered this album. And very good it is too. Beautiful tunes, including the fantastic Carraig Fergus, played with skill and sensitivity. In Patrick’s hands the solo cello is both calming and poignant and brings a touch of Ireland to those of us scattered elsewhere. And recording it with birdsong in the background is a delight.
