Love music and games. I support artists/developers, and so should you (I won't judge if you don't).

In case you want to get me a gift (for whatever reason, idk), please refer to my Steam wishlist or, even better, my Bandcamp wishlist.

Heck, why not both? A game (Steam), and the soundtrack (Bandcamp, preferably).

  1. UNDERTALE Soundtrack

Holy crap, this was the album (& game) that took me most by suprise in 2015.

2 years later, I decided I had enough of streaming it on Spotify/Youtube, and bought it.

Really, it's useless since you'll probably only listen to like 20 out of the 100 songs, but Toby Fox NAILS it with the 8-bit music.

Heck, why isn't Toby hired to do more stuff?

That aside, it would be really good if we got some sort of piano arrangements version of the soundtrack.

Don't be put off by the 8-bit, it's awesome.

Flowers of Antimony (The Explodatorium) [Manami Matsumae] Flowers of Antimony (The Explodatorium) [Manami Matsumae]
8-bit music is back in all of its glory! Jake Kaufman is back at it again with the Shovel Knight soundtrack, with help from Manami Matsumae (megaman), to deliver some kick-ass beats for shoveling your way through:
A field, a castle, a cemetery, a lab, the underground, a flying ship, a submarine, a tower, a ship, and another tower! Remember though, no weapons allowed in the village! Except, technically a shovel isn't a weapon...
  3. Shovel Knight - Plague of Shadows OST
    by Jake Kaufman
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Village of the Damned Village of the Damned
Can't say much about this one. It takes the original soundtrack (Sold separately), and adds new songs for the areas added in the new campaign. Shorter OST, but still holds the same charm as the original.

Village of the Damned, a remix of "Alchemist's Haven" is really good.

    Again, Jake doesn't disappoint.
  4. Shovel Knight - Specter of Torment OST
    by Jake Kaufman
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Hidden by Night (Lich Yard) Hidden by Night (Lich Yard)
Now this is the Shovel Knight OST I've been waiting for!

It remixes every song from the base, original campaign (Shovel of Hope) and does so in a fitting manner, yet distancing itself from the original.

Couldn't choose a favorite, so I went with the one from Specter Knight's domain, The Lich Yard.

Seriously, thanks to Jake for making it pay-what-you-want, but it deserves a donation, no matter how small.
  5. Master Spy Original Soundtrack
    by RAC
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Mission 4 (Factory) Mission 4 (Factory)
Hell yeah! Master Spy is, in my personal opinion, a mediocre game (sure, full of excitement, but very, very repetitive), but don't let that stop you.

The soundtrack kicks some serious butt. Each track is tailored to its specific stage, making the music really fit both the tone and setting of the game.

Nice work RAC! Keep at it!
  6. Gunpoint - The Soundtrack
by Ryan Ike, Francisco Cerda, and John Robert Matz
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Dig Dig
What else would you need in a game. Be a private detective with a jazz soundtrack that kills it. Just buy it!

Not convinced? Listen to "Dig", "Cold Halls and Foothalls", and " 'Round Gunpoint", and you'll see what i mean.
  7. Risk of Rain
    by Chris Christodoulou
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Coalescence Coalescence
Coming from Christodoulu's "Deadbolt" soundtrack, I already had high expectations. Hearing Chris' first OST felt satisfying. Satisfying enough to make me buy it, instead of torrenting it.
    My money was well spent.

Ashes to Ashes, to Ashes (to Ashes) Ashes to Ashes, to Ashes (to Ashes)
Clean, amazing sound. Please make more music like this.

Ashes to Ashes, to Ashes (to Ashes) is a perfect example of why this album rocks.

Undead man walkin' really makes you feel like the character, for some reason, in that "killing mood" of being the reaper and getting rid of the undead.
  9. Crypt of the Necrodancer OST
    by Danny Baranowsky
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
    Portabellohead (2-3) Portabellohead (2-3)
No comment needed. Coming from Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy, Necrodancer is a good game, but it the soundtrack makes it shine even more. The regular OST is mostly dance-based (or whatever the correct term is), as opposed to FamilyJules7x's version (metal), and A_Rival's version (electro-house?). The soundtrack feels like it's an important piece of the puzzle, and the music is spot-on when it comes to the mood of the game. Love it.
  10. Crypt of the Necrodancer: AMPLIFIED OST
    by Danny Baranowsky
    favorite track 00:00/00:00
Power Cords (5-2) Power Cords (5-2)
The man's done it again! He took the groove from the base game, amplified it (pun very intended), and now the soundtrack is even better. Haven't downloaded the expansion yet (this review was written the day it came out), but I can feel it coming.
  11. Crypt of the Necrodancer: The Synthwave Cuts

Disco Descent (1-1 Remix) Disco Descent (1-1 Remix)
An alternate soundtrack for Crypt of the NecroDancer. While being very faithful to the original material, it holds its own pretty damn well. Basically a more relaxed version of the soundtrack, which in my opinion was a pretty good call to make, countering the fast-paced original and its other remixes.

    Can't get enough of it.
