  1. Prius Dementat
    by Tory Slusher
Hope Springs Eternal Hope Springs Eternal
A superb album. It's really hard to pick a favorite, there are too many great choices. Jazz, jazz fusion, ballads, a bit of face melting: take your pick. If you've never listened to Tory Slusher before, this is a great place to start.
  2. The Chopin Project
by Kurt Rosenwinkel & Jean-Paul Brodbeck
Prélude in C major (Op. 28, No. 1) Prélude in C major (Op. 28, No. 1)
This sounds great, Kurt gets some nice violin/flute/cello sort of tones. A very convincing reinterpretation, it sounds very natural, not at all forced.
  3. Angels Around

  4. Beyond Reason
    by Tory Slusher
Mauled by Koalas Mauled by Koalas
Another diverse and great album, hot on the heels of the last two. Some orchestration using guitar synth, and some straight ahead guitar magic. She is a virtuoso player who matches her guitar skills with compositional abilities.
  5. Advanced Circus Music
    by Tory Slusher
    Oppressionville Oppressionville
This was the first of her albums I heard, and it set the hook deep. Lots of different things in this album, some jazz fusion, some Zappa-esque stuff, a ballad or two, and some classical influences. A great listen.
  6. Straw Poll
    by Straw Poll
    Obtrusive Firebrand Obtrusive Firebrand
In general, a more mellow sound than some of her other albums. It does have some take no prisoner moments, like 1.618. Very enjoyable.
  7. Mayan Prophecy of Doom (Deluxe Edition)
    by The Jive Monkey Cartel
Pyramids on the Moon Pyramids on the Moon
This is a remarkably cool album, that grows on me more and more. The composer side of Tory Slusher, rather than the guitar virtuoso, is more obvious here, which is not to say that guitar virtuosity is not present.

I you have heard Tory Slusher play "Donna Lee" in the style of 7 pianists, you'll know that she can capture piano phrasing very well with her guitar. It turns out that she can also do trumpet, vibes, flute, violin....As I understand it, the sounds use guitar synth to make parts for other instruments, but the guitar peeks through without disguise often enough. The album is a compositional tour de force. Highly recommended.

Ye Are Not Evolved Ye Are Not Evolved
This is a departure from the other music she has on bandcamp, with almost all songs having lyrics. The usual excellent and unpredictable music is there, too. I have several contenders for favorite track, as usual. This would really be great to see and hear live.
