  1. In the Wake Ov Sòl
    by Worm Shepherd
    Chasm Dweller Chasm Dweller
Heavy-as-fuck deathcore with enough spooky blackened influences to scare a banshee. Would have loved some more hooks but very little else to complain about
  2. Altars of Madness
    by Morbid Angel
Maze of Torment Maze of Torment
Absolute classic of death metal. Imposing vocals, impressing drum work and imperious guitar work, recommended for any new extreme metal enjoyer
  3. Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering
    by Ingested
Intercranial Semen Injection Intercranial Semen Injection
One of the heaviest albums Ive ever heard, tons of slam influence and yet has a clarity and annunciation that few records this brutal ever manage. Plenty of hooks to avoid the monotony of most full lengths in this style. Sick stuff boys 🤘
  4. A Hill to Die Upon
    by Mental Cruelty
    Ultima Hypocrita Ultima Hypocrita
An epic yet menacing brutal onslaught upon the senses. Often feels like being drowned in the hordes of hell, but in a good way obviously
  5. Revive The Throne
    by Stillbirth
Eating Flesh of the Objector Eating Flesh of the Objector
Hope you like punishing slams, stampeding drums and tasty movie samples because this albums got all those in spades! Exactly the sort of savage silliness I love in brutal death metal
  6. The Bleeding
    by Cannibal Corpse
Stripped, Raped, And Strangled Stripped, Raped, And Strangled
Absolute premium death metal, catchier than an album this brutal has any right to be, and cuts deeper than a psychopath's meat cleaver
  7. Through the Gate Eternal
    by DEMISER
    Deathstrike Deathstrike
Kicks more arse than a pissed off Satanic horse. Banging rock n roll painted black as you like
  8. Matriphagy
    by Tallah
    Overconfidence Overconfidence
A genuinely unhinged, narrative-driven album brimming with heavy breakdowns, electronic spikes and some of the most insane and disturbing vocals I've heard since Korn. Theres nothing I dont love about this
  9. Lifeblood
    by Brand of Sacrifice
    Demon King Demon King
If you like your music epic, narrative and stirring while still being heavy enough to snap the spinal column, then boy howdy are you in luck. The only question I have is how the living fuck do BoS top this next time??
  10. Aldrig i livet
    by UNDERGANG
    Menneskeæder Menneskeæder
Jesus Christ I think I feel ill after listening to this utterly putrid, vile, disgusting excuse for a piece of music. That's a recommendation, obviously. Vocals are so rotten you can't make out a word, but it's in Danish anyway so doesn't actually make a difference.
    Underganggang 🤟🤟
  11. YŌKAI
    by Within Destruction
    Hate Me Hate Me
I did not expect to like this as much as I did. These guys blend slam deathcore with metalcore, trap and Japanese-ness in a way that doesn't seem alchemically possible. Good job lads.

  12. Franckensteina Strataemontanus
    by Carach Angren
    Monster Monster
Unapologetically theatrical and spooky music for you to whistle along to while defiling a corpse. The keyboards are gorgeous and the story is provocative and brilliantly executed
  13. Pornographic Seizures
    by SANGUISUGABOGG
    Perverse/Deranged Perverse/Deranged
Filthy groovy death metal to bang heads and break necks to.
  14. Black Arts & Alchemy EP
    by Hellripper
All Hail the Goat All Hail the Goat
Speedy, jagged and Satanic Hell's rock and roll, channelling the spirit of Motorhead through the lens of Beelzebub himself
  15. Nocturnal
    by The Black Dahlia Murder
What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse
Classic melodic death metal, these songs are all fucking bangers. a classic of the style with a blackened and menacing style
  16. Reclaimer
    by Shadow Of Intent
The Heretic Prevails The Heretic Prevails
Gorgeous, symphonic-laden brutality that would make the perfect soundtrack to leading your interstellar army into bloody battle. That breakdown tho 😋
  17. Heart Vs. Mind
    by I Prevail
    Blank Space Blank Space
One of the bands that got me into this music, awesome songwriters, absolute bangers!
  18. Our Endless War
    by Whitechapel
The Saw Is the Law The Saw Is the Law
As heavy and groovy as Whitechapel have ever been, Phil's vocals are pummelling as ever with that rapid, staccato delivery. Wild West deathcore 🤘
  19. Where Death Lies
    by Carnation
Where Death Lies Where Death Lies
Beautiful follow up to their last release, some of the best old school style death metal on the scene right now!
  20. Lifelines
    by I Prevail
    Scars Scars
Love this band and this album! Great, catchy songs all the way through!
