While Diaspora lacks the genre-blending madness of Metazoa, it takes the sound first established on Dwellings and further pushes the limits of what Cormorant can achieve. In other words; Cormorant continue to mature like the finest of fine wines.
Whether you like your metal progressive, melodic, groovy as fuck, or just plain heavy, 'The Cicada Tree' has something for everyone. This is easily Byzantine's magnum opus and is destined to finally (and most deservingly) put them on the map.
