Exciting EP with more similarities to Formen's debut album "Impulse" than to the live compilation "Noise Around Our Homes". The arrangements are more elaborate than before, the 'clicks' are emphasized over the 'cuts' and generally more harmony elements are presented. Nevertheless, Formen's raw, analog approach of the early years is never missing. Highly recommended!

A must for all fans of blaxploitation movies and original soundtracks! Although the beats are all instrumentals and stand out for their minimalist and dirty sound, they tell an ambivalent story of poverty, crime and loss. It's insane how the film plays out in the mind's eye of the listener. The remastering of Formen underscores the album's aesthetic and never feels too intrusive or modern. Whereby the self-printed tape cover, with its ominous city motif and bold colors completes this lost gem!
