I'm just passionate about music. Favorite genres include electronic-influenced anything (rock, pop, R&B, experimental, dance, ambient, rap), post-rock, alternative rock, classic rock, folk rock, R&B, pop...if it's not country, thoughtless/overaggressive rap, or screamo/death metal, I probably like it.

    Light Out Light Out
It’s a gorgeous, dreamy EP that balances catchy pop sensibilities with engrossing layers of sound, creative twists in both melody and instrumental effects, and mesmerizing, imaginative beats. It’s a fun, groovy soundtrack for dancing or driving that doesn’t shy away from lyrical dexterity or subtle, gradual builds. LOUIE is a cohesive, summery, blissed-out ride you’ll want to take over and over again.

    Lazy Bones Lazy Bones
I fell in love with this album from the first listen--I couldn't believe this was a local Pittsburgh band. Monocle City is experimental and completely listenable at the same time. It combines elements of indie/alternative rock with subtle electronic influences, as well as imaginative lyrics. The layers of sound (both vocal and instrumental) are so masterfully woven on top of one another. Each track is a journey, and captures a different mood, but the EP still sounds like a cohesive whole.

Palace On The Moon Palace On The Moon
If you're looking for solid experimental rap/R&B that stands out from the pack, you will definitely find it here. The thought and care Silas puts into both the lyrics and trippy beats of each track is obvious. He explores themes of altered reality, fantastical escapism, and social criticism. Let him take you on a one-way trip to the moon.
