Former Hero successfully blends the sounds, from a seemingly vast array of influences, into an extremely cohesive, yet obsessively fun, alt-dance album. The unique and creative adaptations of classic electronic/dance elements, combined with distorted guitars and relatable angst-filled lyrics, provide the listener with loads of catchy melodies, and plenty of dance-y, sometimes even headbang-worthy, beats. This album left me with an insatiable craving for more Former Hero!
