    Switzerland Switzerland
I haven't played the game yet, but Bourgeault's music sold me on other games before by the soundtrack alone. I catch myself humming the melodies of USA and Russia often. If I ever need a pick-me-up it'll be in that lo fi guitar sound in between the marimbas of Tanzania. I just can't get enough of the Bourgeault combo - rocking tunes with rich complexity and beautiful melodies.

    Satin City Satin City
Karl and his friends take the special brand of cool expressed in old VGM racing music and crank it up to 11. It's utterly fantastic fun and beautifully composed. I'm just so impressed with the executions and the capacity to pull inspiration from such a diverse range of influences.

I just listened to this album during a 7-hour drive on narrow snaking roads through the desert and over mountain passes. It made me pay attention to just how beautiful this otherwise grueling drive was.

Long Way Around Long Way Around
I love this album so damn much. It's full of such beautiful, uplifting melodies, but it's also intricate and often so clever. It's jazzy, video-gamey, but it stands on its own as a unique creation. The title track is like an electric unicorn party in your headphones, and Thin Ice is like 007 meets Lupin III (so awesome). But my favorite is Long Way Around, the floatiest, whipped cream puff of a cloud track I've ever heard, but as perfectly crafted as a samurai sword. Kudos dude. You rock.

    Big Chunk Big Chunk
The melodies are some of the neatest, sweetest things I've ever heard. Some of the tracks like "Big Chunk" express a sense of speed and flow that reminds me of playing video games - but takes that retro style much further. "Don't Drop Me" is just adorably delightful and is my #2 favorite.

    Full Throttle Full Throttle
I love "Sushi Parlor" and "Full Throttle" especially. One is so clever and stylish with a lot of neat intonation. The other one has all the flavors of the Sky Sanctuary Zone in Sonic 3 mixed with road trip adventures!
  20. Mercenary Kings Original Soundtrack

    Jungle I Jungle I
I love the mixture of traditional action-movie guitar riffs with elaborate composition details, and how each song has many different movements. I actually haven't played the game yet, but I listen to this album whenever I need to get really motivated!
