The initial meeting between that incredible bass line starting and startling on Becoming the Sun, the prolonged soundscapes and the frantic, ecstatic soloing on the top can remind of the interknotting of Discipline together with krautrok. But that reminded me eventually of Miles Davis's Panthalassa in a certain way.
