Groupings like this are rare. This music is unique and looks back to a time when The Mammal Gallery and Eyedrum provided outlets for it to be performed here in Atlanta. Deluxer reminds me of Ray Manzanera’s Quiet Sun or his Diamond Head album (which was played by a collective of musicians from the British jazz, prog and Cantebury Scene). Music that’s almost free but follows a structure. The brief running time sometimes floats, sometimes rocks.
