  1. Willows
    by As Oceans
Okay, so as always; As Oceans has delivered! Willows though, is so much differen than their freshman and sophmore albums. Soooo much more in your face uncleans, soul filling cleans, and amazing instrumentals and interludes throughout. Just can't get enough.

Death's Great Black Wing Scrapes The Air Death's Great Black Wing Scrapes The Air
So much more different than your normal brand of Hardcore Punk. Adding a spoken word style unclean with a touch of amazing cleans; that and the over-all raw feel of this band. But, this album is so much more emotional and tied to aspects of life than Dear G-d. A heartfelt exploration of the human soul, that we must all at least listen to once , all the way through, and then again.
  5. Foundations
    by Shapist
    Adonis Adonis
Okay, so between Volumes and Structure; the dual vocalist bands are not new. But, what Shapist does with them is...well...amazing. Forever changing what you think about Metalcore. Heartlfelt, soul churning lyrics, paired with insane riffs, and a light airiness you feel in the instrumental calms and interludes. Now, you couple this with poetic fades and refrains, and you have Shapist.

Okay, so lets state the obvious here; this once great individualized riffing called "djent." Yeah, it's hard to find a band that does it so different; I had to have the album when i first saw it on ItDjents. Female lead vocalist, check, heavy doomy chugs, check, heavy double kick drum and bass, check. Definitely, one of my favorites!
