This album really encompasses what I think of as the quintessential goth sound: it's driving, it's bleak, it's not over-written, and it's haunting without going overboard. Turkish Leather was, in my opinion, one of if not the best record to come out during this goth renaissance and somehow, they've managed to one up themselves with this one.
