The Way We Were (prod. by DJ Skizz) The Way We Were (prod. by DJ Skizz)
The album knocks top to bottom. Been a fan of Milano since the first D.I.T.C. compilation and have been looking forward to a solo release since. This project does not disappoint. With 2 of the best in the biz in Marco Polo and Skizz on production, every track thumps. The hard drums and rugged backdrops balance nicely with Milano's smooth flow. The content covers vivid imagery of throwback settings and stories from rocking fly British Walkers to perusing through the tough Uptown blocks.

An incredible album from one of the unsung lyricists in this game. Midaz accurately proclaims himself to be a killer over tracks and this album embodies that relentless approach at ripping verses apart over soulful melodic backdrops.

Fantastic project. Phybaoptikz is impressive both on the mic and when handling production duties. I met Phyba on the grind when he visited NYC and he returned the hospitality when I went out to London. Hard to pick a favorite for me as Orange Juice and Ice and 93 are contenders. Dope wordplay throughout and Crate Divizion always laces the production. Highly recommended. They're like the Winners overseas. Great album.

Another banger. J-Zone speaks on all the shit that annoys me as an avid fan of rap music and life long New Yorker, but manages to put a smile on my face while he does it. It's a unique talent that few artists possess. This CD is phenomenal. Especially for anyone who's been sleeping on his 7" releases. Caddy Coupe is a close favorite right over Dreamcrusher. Always nice to hear zone on some pimped out shit. The drumming on this is phenomenal as well. Picks up where Peter Pan Syndrome left off.

Suede does a great job of showing versatility while maintaining fluidity throughout this project. From top to bottom this album serves as an eclectic mix of different musical influences and subject matter that is ultimately very relative. There are small nuances surrounding the intros and outros of certain songs which successfully tie the theme of the album together nicely. Everyone is an actor.
