This is like a calliope. I also hear echoes from the earliest of Music I heard as a teenager that came from a different place than what you heard in the media. I'm thinking of Beaver and Krause or Variations 4 album one and two on Vanguard by John Cage and across the years from some of John Fahey's sound experiments, just just snatches of sound that trigger memories. This is the soundtrack for the day I want to have today. I found it looking for Mount Shrine whatever remains.

A highway through the mountains on the night of a new moon lashed by rain so hard the road is a ribbon of black satin and the silhouettes of the pines on each side cut out dragon teeth against the dense stars of a deep night. He passed this way before me and scored a passage to The End.

Did Sergio Leone score a Western Set on a Post-Apocaltptic Mars? No. We at least have this. Rain beaten Gothic cathedrals half covered in sentient moss and carniverous seaweed casting long reflections over the still waters of Martian canals. Green Buddhist poet-monks chanting the Lotus Sutra and dissolving into Nirvana. This is sad and gorgeous music. Leo
