Half Broken Horses, Pt.2 Half Broken Horses, Pt.2
This is a stunning example of dark ambient music being expanded beyond the bland and dull drones heard so often in an over saturated and under produced genre. SOLARIS adds a soulful whimsy and heart combined with soaring cinematic themes. I found this album having more range and depth than anything else I've heard in recent memory.

The Burning Room The Burning Room
This is truly fearsome otherworldly dark ambience. With its snarling metallic washes and driving industrial force dropping into whimsy and sorrow. 'The Burning Room' with its sense of drowning and dread is menacing indeed. Following up with the slow mechanical creeping of 'Love Like Blood' is an instant favourite. And rounding out a stellar album 'Where All Me Die' composed almost entirely off improvised bass and piano is something quite brilliant!

    Winter's Kill Winter's Kill
Get this album here from BandCamp! Everywhere else I've seen it the track 'Winter's Kill' is split into two parts. Here it's unabridged and far better off as a single track. It's a far more twisted and deeper journey and most certainly makes it a more cohesive listening experience. As far as albums from The Rosenshoul are concerned tracks like Misery Chain hark back to earlier albums like 'Yokai' and 'Darker Blood'.
  5. Low Winter Sun (Deluxe Edition)

When We Were Blood When We Were Blood
The definitive album from The Rosenshoul. When all the combined elements work so fluidly as a whole you get a listening experience that separates acts like this from everybody else. Melodic, harsh metallic timbres that are The Rosenshouls signature elements soar to heights and descend to lows that will have you hooked for all 84 minutes!
  6. Yokai
    by The Rosenshoul
    Yamachichi Yamachichi
Such a confident and challenging album. Most certainly The Rosenshoul's most fluid album and like all contain a deep underlying narrative driving the album as a whole. From the howling electronic Akujo Nokaze opening track to a far more laid back affair with Shōkera and its horn instruments floating through an ocean of sound creats a bridge from the opening track to the closing Yamachichi with its deep, dark and rather alarming presence. Second best only to the epic 'Low Winter Sun' album.
